Back to Karkand launches for the PlayStation 3 on Tuesday!

We hope you are ready to go Back to Karkand, as we are releasing our first Battlefield 3 expansion pack Tuesday, December 6th (giving you one week early access exclusively on PlayStation 3)!

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is a huge expansion pack featuring four legendary Battlefield maps reimagined in the Frostbite 2 engine. Three new vehicles (the VSTOL fighter jet, Desert Buggy, and an APC), ten new weapons that you can bring back to the base game, and a new layer of persistence with our all-new Assignments make this a must-have for any Battlefield fan.

Our four new maps are Wake Island, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Strike at Karkand. Over the years these maps have been played billions of times and now they’ve been reimagined with the power of the Frostbite 2 engine. To top it off, we’re taking the level of destruction to the next level as well – entire huge portions of these maps can be razed to the ground.

We’re also introducing the Assignments system. For example, to complete the “Let it Rain” assignment players must score 20 kills with Light Machine Guns and two mortar kills. When you have met the requirements, you will unlock a new Back to Karkand weapon (with a matching set of dog tags) to use in Back to Karkand and the original Battlefield 3 maps, which will mix in server rotation. You will also unlock the next Assignment in the series, the new Creeping Death Assignment.

Get a kill with the following weapons in a single life: Rifle, Jet, Tank

Third Tour (Bronze)
Get a kill with the new APC, Desert Buggy, and STOVL fighter jet

Get 10 kills with all B2K weapons

Like a Boss! (Silver)
Get a kill with the skid loader

Jaws (Bronze)
Take a swim in the pool at the Oman hotel

¡Esperamos que Back To Karkand este listo, ya que estamos lanzando nuestro primer pack de expansión para Battlefield 3, el martes 6 de Diciembre (teniendo una semana de acceso exclusivo por parte de PlayStation3)!

Battlefield 3: Back To Karkand es un gran pack de expansión con 4 mapas legendarios de Battlefield 2 remasterizados con el motor Frosbite 2. Tres nuevos vehiculos (el avión de combate VSTOL, Buggy del desierto, y un APC), diez armas nuevas que te llevarán de vuelta a la base del juego, y un nuevo nivel de persistencia en nuestro nuevo de misiones hacen de este que sea imprescindible para cualquier fan de Battlefield.

Los cuatro nuevos mapas son la isla de Wake, en la Península Sharqi, en el Golfo de Omán, y Golpe a Karkand. Con los años estos mapas se han jugado miles de millones de veces y ahora han sido reinventado con el poder del motor Frosbite 2. Para colmo, nos estamos tomando el nivel de destrucción a un nivel superior, así - toda enormes porciones de estos mapas pueden ser arrasadas.

También estamos introduciendo el sistema de misiones. Por ejemplo, para completar el "Let it Rain" Los jugadores de la asignación debe tener una puntuación de 20 matados con ametralladoras ligeras y dos matados con mortero.
Cuando hayan cumplido los requisitos, se podrán desbloquear nuevas armas (con un set de placas de identificación) para usarlos en Back to Karkand y los mapas originales de Battlefield 3, que se mezclará en la rotación de los mapas del servidor. También desbloqueará la próxima misión de la serie, la nueva asignación Creeping Death.

Consigue 10 muertes con todas las armas B2K

Consigue una muerte con el skid loader (no se traducir eso último)

Báñate en la piscina del hotel de Omán

Si tienes la Edición Limitada de Battlefield 3, puedes descargar el pack de expansión sin coste adicional, de lo contrario lo puedes comprar por unos 15€ en PlayStation Store. Cada futuro pack de expansión será lanzado una semana antes para PlayStation 3 al igual que Back To Karkand.
